![]() 4 Phase Narconon Program The Narconon program is divided into four phases: Phase I: Handling Drug Cravings Cravings and obsessions for drugs are, in part, biochemical in nature. Long-term drug abuse can leave residual amounts of drugs locked in the fatty tissues. These drug residues are a major cause of the cravings which make it impossible for the addict to quit. One of the cornerstones of our treatment is the New Life Detoxification program Phase II: Restoring Focus and Self-Control This phase of the Narconon program includes effective therapies to restore abilities to focus on real goals and to return self control to the addict. It helps a person snap out of traumatic events in which he may be stuck, and increases his ability to deal with the realities of life. Phase III: Restoring Personal Values and Integrity This phase of the Narconon program rehabilitates the addict's sense of self esteem. It is a cleansing experience that sets him free from the chains forged bypast misdeeds, restoring the person's self-worth. After completing this phase of the program, the addict finds it much, much easier to face up to problems in life, and to deal with them effectively. Phase IV: Changing Conditions in Life In addition to dealing with the past, addicts MUST learn to change their behavior if they are to be freed from the desire to take drugs. This section of the program gives the addict an objective method of dealing with any situation he may encounter as a drug-free individual. It makes the addict infinitely more stable as a person, because he now knows how to solve his problems and has the ability to do so.
